Meet some of the team...
 Roy Barrett - Roy has been in the car industry for a very very long time. He has held senior positions in a number of manufacturers and is now Chairman of our group of companies.
Roy spends his time networking with senior industry business leaders and opinion makers.
To the amusement of the team at AMS, Roy spends his weekends racing around Burnham with his son Jack in their 1959 Austin Healy Frogeye Sprite.

 Darren Atkin - Darren has now been in the car industry for over 20-years. This is quite a record for a man in his very early 40’s (he told us to put that in) and he is now Managing Director.
His career started in a dealership selling cars where he held various positions through to running the sales department. Darren joined AMS in 1998 where he became a dealer development manager focusing on used cars. He has run sales and management training programmes and worked extensively throughout Europe with a number of major automotive brands.
He particularly enjoyed an assignment that took him to Switzerland for 3 years. He loved the skiing but wasn’t that happy about the price of a beer.
At the weekends Darren enjoys socialising with friends and cooking for just about anybody he can persuade to come to his house.

 Laurent Mantel - Laurent is the Managing Director of AMS France and has been in the car industry for 20-years. Like Darren he started in a dealership selling cars.
Laurent is typically French; he loves his food and wine, enjoys living in the centre of Paris and drinks too much coffee.
Laurent loves his motor sports bikes and spends his weekends stuck in French traffic jams holding up his new BMW 1100 RT. If it’s raining he’ll be in his 1972 Porsche 911.

 Anne Wood - Anne looks after the money. She is our Director - Client Support.
Anne loves shopping (with her own money) and spends far too much time doing the Financial Times crosswords and playing Sudoku.
At the weekends she spends most of her time with friends and enjoys gardening and reading the kind of books that would make the rest of us fall asleep.

 Kadija Arab - Kadija has been with AMS for 3 years. She lives near Paris and the drive to work is a "cauchemar".
She has 18 years experience in the car industry. Kadija spent 10 years as Head of Sales Administration at Carglass where she was responsible for a team of 80 sales executives.
Prior to joining AMS, she spent 6-months in Business Sales with General Motors.
We know Kadija loves to travel - especially to sunny countries. But it’s not all about beaches for Kadija as she likes to spend time visiting cities and exploring famous historic sites. Most recently she visited Egypt and the pyramids.

 Matt Stagles - Matt has been in the car industry for nearly 16 years. His career started at a Vauxhall Dealer in Wigan which is in the north of Britain.
Having progressed to Sale Manager Matt decided, in the late 90’s, to take a break from selling cars and follow his dream of becoming a ski instructor. While working in France he met Ida from Sweden. Ida persuaded Matt to live in Stockholm and they are now married with two girls.
Matt decided it was time to get back into the car industry. Having learnt to speak Swedish he joined AMS in 2003 to work as a dealer used car development manager on an assignment for Saab Sweden. Having done this for 4 years he joined a Swedish Saab dealer as Sales Manager but was tempted back to AMS in 2009 as coordinator for AMS Nordic. Matt now Manages AMS programs in Scandinavia for BMW and Citroen.

 Joe Mondejar – General Manager Spain
Joe looks after AMS operations in Spain. He is a qualified accountant and has worked in Europe, Africa and the Middle East. With English and Spanish parents he speaks both languages fluently and is at home doing business in both markets. He is based in Madrid.
