Used Car Business Development Consultants - Spain

AMS is one of Europe’s leading automotive consultancy companies and in 2012 we will continue to expand our business throughout Spain.  We have a new assignment with a prestige car brand to provide a dedicated team of Used Car Specialist Consultants to help their dealer network improve their used car business.  This means we are looking for some very special people to join our consultancy team.

The people we want
We are looking for General Managers or Sales Managers with a proven track record in used car sales currently working in a franchised dealership or a successful independent used car dealer.  You must understand used car retailing best practices and hold the skills required to run a successful used car operation.  So if you have the right experience and would like to take on a new challenge in consultancy then AMS has everything to offer.

The consultancy challenge
The AMS Used Car Business Development Consultancy team will have the skills and experience to offer to franchised dealers and advise them on how best to improve their used car sales department profitability.  AMS consultants are seen by dealers as a “centre of expertise” with the ability to offer proven best practice advice.

AMS consultants must be able to communicate confidently at all levels and have the character to build lasting business relationships.  AMS consultants also need leadership and motivational skills to encourage dealers to make the required changes to their business processes.

In order to join AMS it is essential that you have good spoken and written English.  You must be competent with modern communication methods and MS Office applications.

Key role

• Set and agree key performance improvement objectives with dealers - for example display & preparation, quality, profitability, etc. and create a used car business action plan for implementation.
• Approximately 80% of the consultant’s time will be spent on territory visiting dealers, working closely with them to monitor progress and making improvement recommendations. The remaining time will be office based offering online support and in progress review meetings.

Training and support
There will be an extensive training program some of which is likely to be outside Spain.
